Softball Recap: Simsboro Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last four games, Simsboro finally came back down to earth on Thursday. They lost 7-1 to the Quitman Wolverines. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Wolverines recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Simsboro saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kennady King, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Simsboro's loss dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Quitman, they pushed their record up to 12-1 with the win, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Simsboro will take on Choudrant at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Quitman, they will challenge LaSalle at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
