Football Recap: Rockwall-Heath Starts off Right with Win over Highland Park + How To Watch

Rockwall-Heath had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They had just enough and edged out the Highland Park Scots 52-49. For the Hawks, this counts as revenge for the 34-21 victory the Scots walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

Rockwall-Heath's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Prosper Neal, who threw for 171 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 33 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave Neal a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two). Carter Zahm was another key rusher, rushing for 100 yards and a pair of scores on only nine carries.

Rockwall-Heath's defensive line stepped up as well, laying out the QB eight times. In that department, Luke Mitchell was the leader with three sacks. Rockwall-Heath got some further help from Carson Adams: he picked up 0.5 sacks, forced one fumble, and made eight total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Coming up, Rockwall-Heath will be playing in front of their home fans against Prosper at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Highland Park, they will venture away from home to take on Lovejoy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
