Basketball Game Preview: Bishop's Knights vs. Vista Panthers

The Bishop's Knights are taking a road trip to face off against the Vista Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Bishop's will head into Saturday's game out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Saturday. They lost 64-44 to San Diego. The Knights' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Vista was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 84-78 to Cypress. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 300th, while the Centurions are ranked 116th).

Bishop's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Vista, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.

Bishop's and Vista were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in January, but Bishop's came up empty-handed after a 72-71 defeat. Can Bishop's avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
