Softball Recap: Sky View Comes Up Short

Sky View managed to slip by Mountain Crest the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bobcats lost 17-4 to the Mustangs on Tuesday. The Bobcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won 4-3.

Eliza Birman and Brylee Andrus did some serious damage despite the final result: Birman went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI, while Andrus went 1-for-2 with one home run.

This is the second loss in a row for Sky View and nudges their season record down to 10-17. As for Mountain Crest, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-16 record this season.

Sky View does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mountain Crest, they will take on Hillcrest at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Huskies have averaged an impressive 10 runs per game this season.
