After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Franklin County, Jefferson County was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Port Gibson Blue Waves 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Blue Waves back in August, they had to take a 3-1 defeat.

Jefferson County's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-9. As for Port Gibson, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Jefferson County will face off against rival Crystal Springs at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Port Gibson is set to take on their familiar foe Hazlehurst at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
