Volleyball Recap: Maple Grove's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Maple Grove waltzed into their matchup on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Blaine Bengals. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Crimson also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Maple Grove was led to victory by Mckinley Hardle and Amanda Swiers. Hardle had eight digs and six aces, while Swiers had eight assists and two aces. Those six aces gave Hardle a new career-high.

Maple Grove's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Blaine, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.

Maple Grove wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Rogers on the 13th. As for Blaine, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Edina on the 13th.
