Foothill lost to Yorba Linda on April 3rd, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Knights came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mustangs, sneaking past 6-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

Capri Gallego spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Makaela Martinez was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Abigail Lawson, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Foothill's record is now 10-13. As for Yorba Linda, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-10.

Looking ahead, Foothill will venture away from home to face off against Crean Lutheran at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. The Knights are facing the Saints at the right time seeing as the Saints are stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Yorba Linda, they will be playing at home against Brea Olinda at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight.
