Clovis East had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They won by a set and slipped past the Buchanan Bears 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Timberwolves: when they faced off against the Bears two weeks ago, they had to take a 3-0 defeat.

Clovis East was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 19-25, 21-25, 25-17, 15-5.

Buchanan lost on Thursday despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Carlos Jay, who had five digs and two aces. He is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 12 or more in each of the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Cole Haroldsen, who had 23 assists and seven digs.

Clovis East has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-11 record this season. As for Buchanan, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 27-16.

As of now, neither Clovis East nor the Bears have any future games scheduled.
