Winner has gone 8-2 against Gregory recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Winner Warriors will venture away from home to face off against the Gregory Gorillas at 7:45 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Winner comes in on three and Gregory on eight.

Last Friday, Winner didn't have too much trouble with Mt. Vernon/Plankinton as they won 60-42. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 31st, while the Titans are ranked 117th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Gregory blew past Jones County, posting a 66-24 win. The Gorillas have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 28 points or more this season.

Gregory's victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 35.4 points. As for Winner, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Winner beat Gregory 55-48 when the teams last played back in January of 2024. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Gregory's Daniel Mitchell, who went 6 for 11 on his way to 17 points along with seven boards and three steals. Now that he won't be playing on Monday, will it be easier for Winner to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
