Burlington-Edison waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Mount Vernon Christian Hurricanes get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won six games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Max Herrgesell looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Asher Moe, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Wyatt Jacobs was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Burlington-Edison hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in five consecutive contests.

Burlington-Edison's win bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Mount Vernon Christian, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 10-1.
