Smithville hit Buffalo Valley with a four-run fourth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Buffaloes came up short against the Braves, falling 11-3. That's two games in a row now that the Buffaloes have lost by exactly eight runs.

Blythe Griffitts made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Buffalo Valley and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
