Basketball Recap: The New School Takes a Loss

The New School extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to six on Friday, dropping them down to 0-2. They were outmatched by the Academe of the Oaks Firebirds and fell 70-22. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Academe of the Oaks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 49-22 back in November.

As for Academe of the Oaks, their win bumped their record up to 2-3. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their 27-point performance the contest before.

Judah Huckaby continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, shooting 55% from the field to rack up 35 points in addition to eight steals and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Ethan Williams, who went 6-for-12 on his way to 12 points along with six steals and five assists.

The New School does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Academe of the Oaks, they will be playing at home against Varsity Opponent at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
