Evergreen Park is 1-8 against Lemont since May of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Mustangs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lemont HS at 4:30 p.m. Evergreen Park is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.2 runs per game this season.

Things were looking good for Evergreen Park after they put the first runs on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Reavis. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Caleb Keyser was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Yarim Garcia, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Lemont waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They were the clear victors by a 24-1 margin over the Hawks. The Lemont HS might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by six runs or more this season.

Lemont's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Evergreen Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-3.
