Baseball Recap: King's Wins Going Away Against Sultan

King's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Sultan Turks with a sharp 14-8 win. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Turks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Brady Reiss and Jakob Fowler made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Reiss pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Meanwhile, Fowler tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one hit in five consecutive appearances. At the plate, Reiss went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Fowler went 3-for-4 with five RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those five RBI gave Fowler a new career-high.

In other batting news, Nate Echelbarger was excellent, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs. Knight Root was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

King's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Sultan, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

As of now, neither King's nor Sultan have any future games scheduled.
