Baseball Game Preview: Glenbard North Panthers vs. Lake Park Lancers

For the second straight game, Glenbard North will face off against Lake Park. The Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lancers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Glenbard North has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with five straight losses, while Lake Park will come in with four straight victories.

On Saturday, Glenbard North didn't have quite enough to beat Lake Park and fell 2-1. The contest marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

For Lake Park's part, they got a great performance from Anrhony Durava as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over 6.2 innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Durava has posted over his last four games.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Gavin O'Neil, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Robert Munaco, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Lake Park pushed their record up to 13-10 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Glenbard North, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-13.
