Football Recap: Central Hinds Academy's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

If Central Hinds Academy was riding high fresh off their 40-8 takedown of Christian Home Educators Fellowship last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Central Hinds Academy took a 29-12 bruising from Brookhaven Academy on Friday. Central Hinds Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Brookhaven Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2016.

Despite the loss, Central Hinds Academy still got an impressive performance from Jay Shuff, who rushed for 117 yards and one TD.

Central Hinds Academy's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-2. As for Brookhaven Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Central Hinds Academy is taking a road trip to take on Columbia Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Brookhaven Academy, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Adams County Christian at 7:00 p.m.
