Williams is a perfect 4-0 against Ash Fork/Seligman since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Vikings will be playing at home against the Spartans at 2:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Tuesday, Williams made easy work of Mogollon and carried off a 19-5 win. That's two games straight that the Vikings have won by exactly 14 runs.

Danika Howe made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off nine hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and three RBI.
In other batting news, Aliyah Torres was a standout: she got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and five RBI. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Miranda Chaney, who scored three runs while going 3-for-4.
Williams kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They are 4-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Ash Fork/Seligman entered their tilt with Mayer on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Wildcats 19-3.
Ash Fork/Seligman got a massive performance out of Jordyn Vazquez, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Aspen Bond, who scored two runs and stole four bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Ash Fork/Seligman's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Williams, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-9.
Thursday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Williams has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .454. However, it's not like Ash Fork/Seligman struggles in that department as they've averaged .513. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Williams' way against Ash Fork/Seligman in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Williams made off with a 23-1 win. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Spartans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
