Baseball Game Preview: Snook Bluejays vs. Milano Eagles

The Snook Bluejays will challenge the Milano Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Snook's victory against Somerville wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bluejays skirted past the Yeguas 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bluejays have posted since March 1, 2024.

Snook saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabe Lacaze, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3. Brett Withem was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, while Milano put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Richards. The Eagles put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 11-0 victory. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by ten runs or more this season.

Daniel Frei was a standout: he scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. What's more, he posted two doubles, the most he's had since back in February. Another player making a difference was Ty Magee, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Milano kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.4 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 9.

Milano now has a winning record of 8-7-1. As for Snook, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-14.
