Volleyball Recap: Eminence Takes a Loss

Eminence lost against Mountain Grove back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Redwings came up short against the Panthers, falling 3-0. The Redwings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Eminence had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-19, 25-19.

Bryleigh Brawley paced Eminence's offense, picking up 14 kills. Brawley got some help from Emily Lyon and her 14 assists. Lyon was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Eminence's defeat dropped their record down to 13-13-1. As for Mountain Grove, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-12-1.

Eminence wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Thayer on the 7th. As for Mountain Grove, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Winona on the 9th.
