Aj Mcbean Turns in Season-Best Effort
Mira Costa was led to victory by Aj Mcbean, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Mcbean rushed for 332 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.4 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 65 yards.

Culver City moved to 5-2 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak. Shigg and Culver City will be playing in front of their home fans against Leuzinger at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Journee Tonga's rushing tear continued on Friday as he dropped his seventh-straight game with 101+ rushing yards. He rushed for 279 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.3 yards per carry.
For the season, Tonga has averaged 39.1 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 36 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 203 rushing yards.
