Salisbury is 9-1 against Lexington since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. It'll be a Battle of the Bugs the Salisbury Hornets challenge the Lexington Yellowjackets at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Salisbury's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 17 games.

On Tuesday, Salisbury blew past East Davidson, posting a 100-38 victory. The Hornets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matchups by 33 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Lexington made easy work of West Davidson on Tuesday and carried off a 67-41 win. Given the Yellowjackets' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 304th, while the Dragons are ranked 644th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lexington is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.4 points per game. As for Salisbury, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-3.

Everything came up roses for Salisbury against Lexington when the teams last played back in January, as the squad secured a 75-42 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Salisbury since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
