Basketball Recap: Peabody Comes Up Short

Peabody was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Jackson Christian Eagles 67-28. While losing is never fun, the Golden Tide can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 284th, while the Eagles are ranked 95th).

Peabody's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Jackson Christian, they pushed their record up to 13-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Peabody will be playing in front of their home fans against Jackson North Side at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Peabody is facing Jackson North Side at the right time seeing as Jackson North Side is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Jackson Christian, they are taking a road trip to square off against University School of Jackson at 6:00 p.m. on January 10th.
