Wayland-Cohocton and Haverling are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2018, but likely not for long. The Eagles will welcome the Rams at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Wayland-Cohocton will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.

Wayland-Cohocton proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by seven) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Dansville 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted since May 1, 2024.

Meanwhile, Haverling came up short against Hornell on Wednesday and fell 10-5.

Lukas Mills-Travis was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Haverling's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-6. As for Wayland-Cohocton, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Wayland-Cohocton was able to grind out a solid win over Haverling in their previous meeting back in April, winning 4-0. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
