Clovis East extended their losing streak to three on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 13-8 in the process. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clovis Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-5 on Tuesday.

For Clovis' part, Logan Georges looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Georges has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.
