Basketball Recap: Rise University Prep Comes Up Short

Rise University Prep lost against San Francisco Waldorf back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Rise University Prep Panthers took a 50-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the San Francisco Waldorf Wolverines. The loss leaves the Panthers without a win on the season.

San Francisco Waldorf's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sam Kite, who went 5 of 8 en route to 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Finian Hudgens, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 12 points.

Rise University Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for San Francisco Waldorf, their victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-4.

Rise University Prep will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Pacific Bay Christian at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th. As for San Francisco Waldorf, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Gateway at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Gateway will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something San Francisco Waldorf surely won't give up without a fight.
