Basketball Recap: AZ Compass Prep Takes a Loss

AZ Compass Prep lost against BASIS - Chandler back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The AZ Compass Prep Dragons came up short against the BASIS - Chandler Bobcats, falling 65-42.

Matthew Akpan continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for BASIS - Chandler, putting up 25 points. With that strong performance, Akpan is now averaging an impressive 15.5 points per game. Another player making a difference was Kalan Karuppana, who posted 13 points.

AZ Compass Prep has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for BASIS - Chandler, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-7.

AZ Compass Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for BASIS - Chandler, they will face off against Heritage Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. BASIS - Chandler has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 199 points over their last three contests.
