Football Recap: Wilson Magnet Takes a Loss

Wilson Magnet had lost six straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 0-3 to make it seven. They were outmatched by East/World of Inquiry and fell 49-14. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.

As for East/World of Inquiry, they now have a winning record of 2-1. Given their advantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while Wilson Magnet is ranked 483rd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Shawnqwezz Williams had a dynamite game, throwing for 121 yards and three TDs on only six passes, while also rushing for 48 yards and one touchdown. Another player making a difference was Amir Bush, who rushed for 57 yards and a pair of scores on only eight carries.

Wilson Magnet has already played their next game (against Gates Chili), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for East/World of Inquiry, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 16-0 loss against Monroe on the 27th.
