Softball Recap: Centerville Triumphs

After only one run in their last game, Centerville made sure to put some runs up on the board against Miamisburg on Monday. The Elks walked away with a 13-8 win over the Vikings. The victory continues a trend for the Elks in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won four in a row.

Natalie Carr was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Franklin, who went 2-for-3 with four runs, two RBI, and one double.

Centerville hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in six consecutive matchups.

Centerville's record now sits at 8-11. As for Miamisburg, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Miamisburg beat Centerville by a score of 6-2 on Wednesday.
