Baseball Recap: East Chambers Takes a Loss

East Chambers was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 21-1 to the Kirbyville Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 last Tuesday.

East Chambers now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Kirbyville, they have been performing well recently as they've won 14 of their last 17 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. East Chambers will take on rival Buna at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Kirbyville is set to face off against their familiar foe Anahuac at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in the Wildcats' favor as the squad sits on seven straight wins at home while the Panthers have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
