Battle Mountain entered their tilt with Steamboat Springs on Thursday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Steamboat Springs Sailors by a score of 34-25. That's more bragging rights for the Huskies, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Battle Mountain was led to victory by Elle Glendining and Izzy Kovacik. Glendining dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds, while Kovacik posted seven points along with ten boards and six assists. The dominant performance also gave Glendining a new career-high in blocks (six). Akeliah Hancock was another key player, putting up six points.

Battle Mountain smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in five consecutive games.

Despite the loss, Steamboat Springs still got an impressive performance from Talyn Anderson, who scored 11 points and three steals. Anderson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.

Battle Mountain's record now sits at 8-4. As for Steamboat Springs, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Battle Mountain will head out to challenge Skyline at 12:30 p.m. on January 25th. As for Steamboat Springs, they will head out on the road to face off against Summit at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
