Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the American Leadership Academy - Gilbert North Eagles walked away with it. They put the hurt on Marana with a sharp 48-24 win on Thursday. The result was nothing new for American Leadership Academy - Gilbert North, who have now won seven contests by 20 points or more so far this season.

American Leadership Academy - Gilbert North got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Conner White out in front who threw for 346 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.9 yards per attempt. Another player making a difference was Brandon Phelps, who picked up 215 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to American Leadership Academy - Gilbert North's defense and their four sacks. Noah Scheurn was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks himself.

When it comes to explaining why Marana lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jason Wood. Despite the final result, he picked up 66 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Moses Miller made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

American Leadership Academy - Gilbert North has yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 7-4 record. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 48.5 points per game. As for Marana, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

American Leadership Academy - Gilbert North will head out on the road to face off against Horizon at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Horizon will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last. Marana does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
