Recap: Brooke Point Black Hawks vs. Chancellor Chargers
There's no place like home for the Brooke Point Black Hawks, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 71-32 victory over Chancellor at home. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Brooke Point also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Brooke Point can attribute much of their success to Yanis Youbi, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 10 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Youbi has scored at least 25% of Brooke Point's points. Jaylen Roman was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Despite the loss, Chancellor still got an impressive performance from Seth Hunter , who scored 13 points along with 8 rebounds. Hunter scored a full 40.6% of Chancellor's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Larell Edwards , who scored 5 points.
Brooke Point now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Chancellor, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Brooke Point will head out on the road to face off against Hylton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chancellor, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Louisa County at 6:30 p.m.
