Baseball Recap: Slocomb Takes a Loss

Slocomb lost against Headland back in March of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Slocomb Red Tops lost 12-2 to the Headland Rams. The Red Tops have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Slocomb saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Owens, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI. The dominant performance gave Owens a new career-high in hits.

Slocomb's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Headland, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-2.

Coming up, Slocomb will take on Dothan at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Headland, they will challenge Valley at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
