High school basketball: Gunnar Greuel of Wisconsin tops national rebounding leaderboard

Winter High School senior is pulling down over 20 boards per game despite being just 6-foot-3.

According to statistics submitted to MaxPreps, Gunnar Greuel of Winter (Wis.) is high school basketball's national leader in rebounds.

The senior is listed at 6-foot-3 and averages 22.8 boards per game. Greuel has topped 20 rebounds in 10 of his squad’s 14 games. On Jan. 16 he pulled down 33 rebounds and scored 34 points in a 112-96 victory.

Senior Bradey Henige of Cactus (Glendale, Ariz.) is second in the nation with 19.7 rebounds per contest. He has topped 20 rebounds in 12 games. The 7-footer also averages 27.3 points and 3.8 blocks per game.

Also on the list is senior Kase Wynott of Lapwai (Idaho), who averages 14.6 rebounds per game. The senior Utah State pledge is also a top five scorer in the nation at 37.1 points per contest. He has recorded a double-double in every game this season.
