Basketball Recap: Nicolet Wins High-Profile Contest Against Homestead

On Thursday, Nicolet faced Homestead in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Nicolet Knights snuck past the Homestead Highlanders with a 70-64 win. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Highlanders recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Nicolet's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Rashaad Davis, who shot 53% from the field on his way to 24 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Davis' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 23 points. Another player making a difference was David Bolden, who posted 13 points in addition to eight assists and seven boards.

Nicolet's win bumped their record up to 18-6. As for Homestead, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-6.
