Recap: Seminole Ridge Hawks vs. Glades Central Raiders
The Seminole Ridge Hawks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 59-35 defeat at the hands of Glades Central. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Seminole Ridge in their matchups with Glades Central: they've now lost five in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Seminole Ridge lost, one person who can't be blamed is Calvin Warren. Despite the final result, he scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Warren hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Elliot Petit-Frere, who scored six points along with four steals.
Seminole Ridge's loss was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-13. As for Glades Central, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seminole Ridge will face off against Boca Raton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Boca Raton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Friday. As for Glades Central, they will head out on the road to challenge Clewiston at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
