Basketball Recap: North Nodaway Comes Up Short

North Nodaway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Mound City Panthers and fell 51-16. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 529th, while the Panthers are ranked 202nd).

North Nodaway's loss dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Mound City, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Nodaway will square off against Union Star at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mound City, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Panthers challenge the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
