Basketball Game Preview: Christian Life Preparatory Knights vs. Pantego Christian Panthers

Two dominant guards in David Wardlaw and Aj Brooks are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. Having just played yesterday, the Christian Life Preparatory Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Pantego Christian Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Christian Life Preparatory saw some tournament action on Thursday. They breezed by Prestonwood Christian North to the tune of 72-42. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 20 points or more this season.

Wardlaw continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaison Hobbs, who posted 12 points and four steals.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pantego Christian). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Poetry Community Christian 93-21. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Pantego Christian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.3 points per game. As for Christian Life Preparatory, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.
