Meanwhile, Shadow Creek didn't have quite enough to beat Pearland on Wednesday and fell 39-36. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Sharks have suffered against the Oilers since February 11, 2022.

Fort Bend Hightower's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 29-5. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.7 points per game. As for Shadow Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 23-11.
