Kenneth Chime commands the offense for Blue Tornado win

Recap: McCallie Blue Tornado vs. Knoxville Catholic Fighting Irish

Even though the McCallie Blue Tornado have not done well against the Knoxville Catholic Fighting Irish recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. McCallie skirted past Knoxville Catholic 61-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead McCallie to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kenneth Chime, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds. Chime has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaleb Gallman, who scored 17 points.

McCallie's victory bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Knoxville Catholic, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McCallie will take on Red Bank at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Red Bank's favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while McCallie has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. As for Knoxville Catholic, they will face off against Webb at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Knoxville Catholic will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 47th, while Webb is ranked eighth).
