Preview: Dallas Dragons vs. Thurston Colts
The Dallas Dragons will head out on the road to face off against the Thurston Colts at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Dallas fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They blew past Crescent Valley, posting a 42-8 win on the road.
It was another big night for Zayvian Webster, who rushed for 250 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. Webster is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last six games he's played. Isaiah Mosley was another key contributor, throwing for 100 yards and two touchdowns on only six passes.
Meanwhile, Thurston entered their tilt with Churchill with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Everything went Thurston's way against Churchill on Friday as Thurston made off with a 48-28 victory.
Noah Blair was his usual excellent self, throwing for 385 yards and five touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Blair hasn't dropped below three passing touchdowns for seven straight games. Thurston also got help from Luke Newell who showed off his sure hands for 94 receiving yards.
Their wins bumped Dallas to 6-3 and Thurston to 7-2.
Dallas came up short against Thurston in their previous matchup back in November of 2022, falling 27-14. Can Dallas avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
