Softball Recap: Warren Central Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lafayette Jefferson, Warren Central was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They walked away with an 11-7 victory over the Ben Davis Giants. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 17-5 win the Giants walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2025.

Jordan Warbinton was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Kira Smith was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Warren Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .528. They are 4-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Warren Central's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Ben Davis, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.

Warren Central wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 0-0 draw against Greenwood on the 4th. Ben Davis has also already played their next matchup (against Franklin Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
