Basketball Recap: Mullin Comes Up Short

Mullin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 56-24 defeat at the hands of the Brookesmith Mustangs. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 66-26 back in December of 2024.

Mullin's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Brookesmith, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-9.

Mullin and Richland Springs will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th. As for Brookesmith, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 55-50 win against Lometa on the 21st.
