Basketball Game Preview: University Titans vs. Deltona Wolves + Official Tickets

University hasn't had much luck against Deltona recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Titans just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Wolves at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

On Thursday, University was beaten by New Smyrna Beach 83-47. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 344th, while the Barracudas are ranked 82nd).

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Phillip Franklin, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 51.9% shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyle Carrico, who posted 11 points and four steals.

Meanwhile, Deltona played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 65-25 loss at the hands of Pine Ridge. The Wolves were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-12.

Deltona's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for University, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Everything went University's way against Deltona in their previous matchup back in November, as University made off with a 67-47 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Titans since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
