Baseball Recap: Parsons Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Parsons's offense. They fell just short of the Iola Mustangs by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost three in a row.

Parsons' loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Iola, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 13-6 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Parsons will challenge Pittsburg on Thursday. As for Iola, they will welcome Emporia at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Mustangs 3.5, the Spartans 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
