Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Greenville). They managed a 32-28 victory over the Edwards Tigers on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Hornets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Greenville was led to victory by Ladarius Adkins and Isaiah Green. Adkins rushed for 61 yards and one touchdown, while Green rushed for 50 yards and one score.

Greenville's record is now 3-1. As for Edwards, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Greenville will face off against Humphreys County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cowboys will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last. As for Edwards, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on O'Bannon at 7:00 p.m. on October 3.
