Softball Preview: Windsor Jaguars vs. Rancho Cotate Cougars

Windsor is 2-8 against Rancho Cotate since May of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Windsor Jaguars will head out on the road to face off against the Rancho Cotate Cougars at 4:30 p.m. Windsor will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Last Tuesday, Windsor earned a 6-2 victory over Maria Carrillo.

Mia Avila spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive pitching appearances.

On the hitting side, Sophia Soltanizadeh was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Pearl McKay was another key contributor, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
