Volleyball Recap: St. Edward Takes a Loss

St. Edward was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chicago Hope Academy. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Chicago Hope Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 back in April.

While St. Edward ultimately came up short, they really made Chicago Hope Academy work, particularly in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 26-24.

St. Edward's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Chicago Hope Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-11.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. St. Edward will challenge rival Chicago Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Chicago Hope Academy is set to square off against their familiar foe Timothy Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
