Baseball Recap: West Bladen Picks Up Seventh Straight Win at Home

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Bladen). They were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the St. Pauls Bulldogs on Friday. With that win, the Knights brought their scoring average up to 6.9 runs per game.

JT Hepler was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Tyler Lewis, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3.

West Bladen always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matchups.

West Bladen pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for St. Pauls, they now have a losing record of 5-6.
