Hoosier North Top Player Performances of the Week

Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances from Friday's football action (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!

Kole Wilcox Goes Supernova in North Judson-San Pierre Win

North Judson-San Pierre picked up their ninth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Kole Wilcox. Wilcox did his part (and then some), rushing for 123 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry, and also picking up 75 receiving yards for the 'W'. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making nine total tackles.

Unfortunately for Pioneer, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Wilcox. When Wilcox last faced the Panthers back in October of 2023, he rushed for 77 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 47 receiving yards.

Jesiah Mcdaniel Turns in Season-Best Performance

North Judson-San Pierre was led to victory by Jesiah Mcdaniel, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Mcdaniel rushed for 165 yards and four touchdowns on only 14 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

Pioneer had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Mcdaniel it was a similar story. Mcdaniel rushed for 130 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries, and also threw for 84 yards and a touchdown while completing 71.4% of his passes the last time he and the Panthers duked it out back in October of 2023.

Rans Posts Huge Game in 60-18 Loss

Micah Rans continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his third-straight game with at least 115 rushing yards. He rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also threw for 62 yards and a touchdown. He has become a key player for Pioneer: the team is undefeated when he posts at least 100 rushing yards, but 2-3 otherwise.

If history really does repeat itself, Rans might just drop another big game when he faces off against Caston on Friday. Rans rushed for 136 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries, and also threw for 21 yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Comets duked it out back in September.

Jabez Yarber Dazzles in Caston Loss

Jabez Yarber put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in September of 2023 on Friday. He rushed for 133 yards and a touchdown. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making eight total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defending a pass.

Caston is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7. Yarber and Caston will take on Pioneer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

North Miami Wins Fourth-Straight Thanks to Ryan Meredith

Ryan Meredith's big game helped extend North Miami's winning streak to four on Friday. Meredith turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 79 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. He didn't just play on offense: he also made seven total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defended two passes.

North Miami pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Meredith will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant effort when he faces off against Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian on Friday.
